Hot Wings!

IMG_6557

The proper kind, not saucey, are ones that are spicy, fried, and dry. You hardly see these selling anywhere. Before discovering this place, the only place on my top list is Kennedy Fried Chicken. BUT, with the Korean craze on chicken, I found this little hidden spot in Manhattan’s Koreatown (thanks to the soon to be EX-roommate).

Baden Baden is pretty well known if you already know about it through word of mouth. If you’re not in the circle, you probably won’t discover it or come across it. Its entrance is so hidden just like most 2nd floor bars/lounges in K-town (Koreatown).

The chicken is special. It’s not like ALL the other chicken places that the Koreans opened everywhere. It’s spicy, more than Kennedy’s, and lightly battered like Kennedy’s. I am definitely not a fan of the other chicken places, like Bon Chon. Though it’s spicy and tasty, its batter is way to thick and oily.

Baden Baden is on my top hot wings list, next to Kennedy’s. One thing I’d say about this place is that it is pretty expensive for wings. A large plate of 12-13 wings go for $20. That is some high class chicken wing! I also found out that they have another location in NJ! Their original location in 1994 was in Fort Lee, which is why the K-town location is called Forte Baden Baden. ““Forte” was the closest word in the dictionary to “Fort Lee.”” (Baden Baden)
