La Bellezza - The Lunch Spot for Foot-Long Heroes

Frank’s father wearing Frank’s cap
YES! Another kick ass lunch spot in midtown east by my office!
I heardabout this spot from someone in the office. I would frequently see him eat his lunch and it always smelled and looked so good. I was super envious and finally made my way out there to his lunch spot. It was more than I ever imagined it to be.
The owners are so friendly and very funny. It is a small pizzeria but they have off the hook heroes! Anything parmigiana is disgustingly good. So I’ve tried them all- chicken parm, meatball parm, and veal cutlet parm.
I’ve met the father and son, Marco and Frank. They seem to have a great relationship; they know how to have fun. I know it can be kind of hard when you’re with family members all day long.
The heroes are generous in size, sauce, and cheese. The perfect combination of goods stuffed in toasty warm hero bread. It’s got a great crunch to it and the perfect level of soggy soft breadness.
Overall, a damn good lunch, just a bit on the heavy side. Not recommended for dieters.

Chicken Parmigiana Hero

Meatball Parmigiana Hero

Veal Cutlet Parmigiana Hero
Out of these three heroes, my favorite is definitely the chicken parm. The meatball parm looked better than it tasted. It was a bit to mushy for me..perhaps it was a bad day. I still have to try the sausage & peppers parm and the eggplant parm.
